I'm excited to be posting this from the family's recently acquired Windows 2000 Dell. Is that sad?
I guess I should recap. My computer (mission-space, a Gateway from 2002, running on XP) recently had its motherboard fail. My mother's workplace was getting rid of some computers, and she managed to claim this one (Horizons) for me to use. I took the opportunity, though, to finally get myself a new computer (SpaceshipEarth, a very shiny Vista-based Dell), which arrived a few days ago. I spent some time the last few days transferring files over to my new computer and clearing out this one's hard drives (the 40GB one that came with it, and the 80GB one from my Gateway), and now I've finally hooked it up to the cable modem.
For my next trick, Dad's planning to obtain a wireless router, which I will set up, finally giving us consistent DS and Wii Internet as well as allowing SpaceshipEarth to get online. (I'm trying to decide what to call the network. Monorail? Communicore?)
